"i believe that my calling, just like everybody else's, is very spiritual, and my belief is the most important thing that i have. although the world is so spiritual, sometimes the people in it don't outright acknowledge the spiritual nature of things, so they re constantly telling the ones like me who've chosen to embrace their own ‘personal legend’ that what we see, think, feel, and essentially, who we are, is thoroughly flawed; that what we see isn't real, that we need to change the way we think, reconsider the way we feel, or undermine who we are in order to be like them. but we all know that you can't unsee what you've seen or un-know what you know and that if you were to call yourself doing so, it'd be an untruth. so, in order to continue living, in my truth, i have to, with the same, if not more, consistency and fortitude as those who push the notion of a certain blindness, always seek to water my belief with things, experiences, and people that move and impact my spirit in an all-encompassing way. i suppose that it's in that regard that i fundamentally transcend my flesh as flesh in order to move in bone as bone and do the deeper growing." - lord
